Respond

ALT/space is a two-way street.  Our contributors (which could be you, if you’re interested) write their personal take on their own teaching artist experiences.  Through these stories we hope to define our field as expansively as possible.  At the same time we are hoping to create a venue for conversations about TA practice that are both broad and deep.

If, after reading an ALT/space post, you find that you have gained some new insight about your own TA practice or would like to provide an answer, feedback, or an alternate viewpoint on issues posed by our contributors please consider submitting a response post (300 to 700 words) to ALT/space Editor Malke Rosenfeld at: malke (dot) rosenfeld at earthlink (dot) net.  Like all work on ALT/space, response posts should be written from a personal perspective, using specific examples from one’s own teaching artist practice and experiences.

You are also very welcome to leave more informal comments in response to individual posts or on our Facebook page.  Our field can only get stronger with your thoughts, observations and experiences in a place where we can use them to further our own practice.   We hope to hear from you!

In this space, Teaching Artist correspondents from around the U.S. and the world bring you stories of their work at the crossroads of art and learning. ALT/space is a project of the Teaching Artist Journal, a peer reviewed print and online quarterly that serves as a voice, forum and resource for teaching artists and all those working at the intersection of art and learning.
